Aaron Russell came up with the idea for FyBro the same way most real solutions start. He had a problem that would not go away.
Every time he traveled or needed to look sharp for work, the same issue came up. His hairline had to be on point, but finding a reliable barber was hit or miss. Some pushed his line back. Others had no idea what a clean cut really meant.
He tried enhancements, but most looked fake or took way too much work. And the tools already out there? You needed two hands just to get a halfway decent result. That is when it hit him. Most enhancements were not made for regular guys to use by themselves.
So in 2022, sitting at the table sketching ideas between dad duties and piano practice, he drew up something simple that could change the game. A hands-free stencil that lets you lock in a sharp, straight hairline in seconds.
By 2023, he had built his first prototype. He pitched the idea at IMPACT Central Indiana’s PitchFeast, where he was named a top winner and secured funding to move forward with manufacturing.
